Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising, and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team. This role ensures that all facilities, machinery, and equipment are maintained in good working order, improving performance, efficiency, and safety. The supervisor will manage the maintenance schedule, handle repairs, conduct inspections, and oversee preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Maintenance Team:
Lead and manage a team of maintenance workers.
Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure work is completed efficiently and according to safety standards.
Assign daily tasks and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and procedures for equipment and facility maintenance.
Ensure regular inspections and testing of systems to identify potential issues before they become problems.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of faulty equipment and machinery.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
Inventory Management:
Manage and track the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.
Order necessary supplies and equipment as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and address any hazardous situations immediately.
Promote a safety-conscious work environment and conduct regular safety training for the team.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Monitor and control the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices without compromising quality.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities, costs, and resource utilization.
Documentation and Reporting:
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and inventory management.
Provide regular updates and maintenance reports to senior management.
Collaborate with Other Departments:
Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and support production or operational activities.
Support projects related to facility upgrades, repairs, or installations as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Experience: Several years of experience in maintenance, including supervisory or leadership roles.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of machinery, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
Leadership: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams.
Safety: Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
Computer Skills: Familiarity with maintenance management software, spreadsheets, and basic computer systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
Comfortable working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor spaces, and exposure to machinery and electrical equipment.
Work Environment:
The role typically works in a factory, manufacturing plant, commercial building, or similar facility.
May require occasional overtime or weekend work depending on operational needs.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 – ₹28,000.00 per month
